DSH Community Installer - Unofficial

A clean, lightweight Windows installer for upstream DSH.

The online installer is the normal choice. The offline edition includes the private runtime for machines that cannot reach Node.js or npm, but still requires Microsoft Edge WebView2 to be installed.

What it does

• Installs a private Node.js 24.19.0 runtime and the locked upstream @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.0-rc.7 package.
• Leaves the system Node.js installation and %USERPROFILE%\.dsh unchanged.
• Runs Harness locally at 127.0.0.1:3080 and opens it in the default browser.
• Provides a small Tauri tray controller for startup, logs, language, updates, rollback, and exit.
• Reports whether manual update checks find a new installer, a new DSH release, or no update.
• Does not bundle API keys or third-party DSH plugins.

Runtime files live in %LOCALAPPDATA%\DSHCommunityInstaller. Uninstall removes the private runtime and logs while preserving upstream DSH settings and sessions.

[!WARNING] Windows builds are currently unsigned. SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning. Verify the SHA-256 supplied with the GitHub Release; do not disable SmartScreen or security software.

Build

Install Node.js, pnpm, the Rust MSVC toolchain, and the Windows build tools, then run:

pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
pnpm build:online
pnpm build:offline

pnpm test runs the frontend tests, visual-token checks, and Rust tests. pnpm release prepares both installers, SHA-256 files, and signed Tauri updater artifacts.
